About Sneffel
Sneffel changes online education and distance learning. It turns static course content into real time collaboration, so that you can work with your other students and teachers. The first beta app is a virtual whiteboard (built in HTML5 – using websockets and the canvas tag) that allows one to “replay” their whiteboard as an animation, like this one here:
Users can embed these doodle pads into their own websites, and even customize the color and header image.
Sneffel was written by Matthew Eric Bassett, a student at the University College London, who hopes that it'll help him pay for school. (As of late July 2010, he can't even pay rent!)
